… I am very good at hiding my disease.
I avoid the things I can not do and hide when my disease grabs hold of me. I go into my safe place and escape reality.

… Today is a good day to grab a cup of coffee and head to my workshop …
I have so many … ornaments I want to make
and now is the time …
I absolutely love the smell of wood and the joy I get from taking a hunk of wood and turning it into something to be proud of.
Wood working is a hobby that brings back my self respect and helps me forget the other things I lost.
I relive the feelings that a kindergarten child has when they bring home a present that they made in school. Look Mom what I made. I think it is so important that everyone living with dementia find something they enjoy and relive those proud memories of yesterday.
No excuses, you can find happiness.

I just found out I wasted my entire day.
I discovered internet radio and
… I had so much planned for today but I plugged in my headset …
My face hurts from singing and smiling …
I kicked Alzheimer’s pants today and it feels good.
