Some Days Are Dark
Others see me taking a strong stance
While crumbling inside this brittle shell

I’m losing my nerve in a silent hell

Sounds echo round me of ongoing life
Rushing past me without even a glance

Then comes the light penetrating my soul

I will never leave you,
Never will I forsake you

I take a deep breath and open my heart

No longer a shell
rather
completely whole.
