Birth of Daughter.

Our Christmas gift arrived today
it wasn’t very early.
A baby girl beside me lay
her dark hair soft and curly.

A baby is a special thing;
a gift from G0d above,
and how she makes us want to sing
and show to her our love.

Now comes the problem of a name.
We have it all picked out.
Charleen Michelle she then became;
a name we know about.

Michelle; that is my sister’s name,
and I would like to see
Charleen grow to be much the same
in femininity.

and yet the strength with which to stand
and keep her standards high;
but not afraid to lend a hand.
When needed, she will try.

That’s looking far ahead, I know,
to grow up like my sis.
But now it’s just today, and so
I’m satisfied with this.
