INTRO:  I was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s at age 41, I am 43 now, & I have been symptomatic since 2009. I carry the PSEN1 gene mutation, which is carried on my Mother’s side of the family. I am also walking for my Mother, Brother, Grandmother, & many Aunts/Uncles/Cousins that have lost their fight to this horrible disease. Myself, my Sister, & many other family members are currently fighting this disease. I am not quitting & I am fighting this all the way! We need to find a cure NOW! #Endalz  (Intro is excerpted from his fundraising page at http://act.alz.org/site/TR/Walk2015/TX-GreaterDallas?px=11009963&pg=personal&fr_id=7815 )

I may have Alzheimers, but it doesn’t have me. So many people have already left & forgotten me…

But I am still here & I am still me.

I am fighting this & plan to as long as it takes.

Thanks to the very few people that message me, that call me,
& that care about/love me unconditionally.
This means more than you will ever know.

If it’s my choice I will be around for a very long time. But we need a cure ASAP!

Time is precious & honestly I don’t know how long I have. I take each day as they come & make memories everyday as much as I can.

Thank you for the ones that are going to walk with me in the Alzheimer’s Walk in Dallas on September 26th. This is something close to my heart & family.
