Dx: NCBI says Subcortical Leukoencephalopathy is synonymous with Binswanger Disease (which is much easier to remember) >> .  More information on this type of dementia can be found at Rare Diseases dot org >>  .  The Medical Dictionary at Free Dictionary (redirected from subcortical leukoencephalopathy) says it is “Binswanger’s dementia a progressive dementia of presenile onset due to demyelination of the subcortical white matter of the brain, with sclerotic changes in the blood vessels supplying it.”   >>   .  Stroke AHA Journals says Binswanger’s Disease is “a form of vascular dementia characterized by diffuse white matter lesions”   >>
